 April 23, 2009 GENERAL STORE REOPENED CEREMONIOUSLY  On Saturday, April 4, the refurbished General Store exhibit was opened to the public in a ribbon-cutting ceremony by two of the donors who contributed to the cost of materials – Joann Jurgen, Secretary of the Canton Historical Society and Dennis Cardello, President of the Collinsville Savings Bank. Open House followed the ceremony with a record crowd of over 100 who toured the museum during the afternoon. All the renovation of the General Store was done by President Paul Therrien over the winter months, and he worked long and hard doing a fantastic job. Gordon Harmon did all the necessary electrical wiring.   |
